RHBG – Update
First, thank you so much for your support of Redheads & Bubblegum. The prologue conveys this best, but one more time never hurts, especially when this author is pumped by the idea of new fans.
When you’re done with the book, if you don’t want to keep it, please pass it to a friend who enjoys sci-fi/humor, or donate it to a library, or hell, try to see it at a used bookstore (if you do, please please please let me know what happens!). Sharing the story is the important part of this process for me. I enjoy my imaginative role the most when I can draw others into it. It’s less lonely, you see, when friends carve out their own place in my inner world.
I’m not saying not to tell others to buy it; making a little change off the project is fun, too, but I think that comes a little later, when I submit the book to major literary agents and publishing houses in the next few weeks.
On the other side of things, I’m pretty confident that if you’re reading this, you enjoyed the book and don’t plan on giving it away, and will therefore tell your friends, neighbors, family (maybe even your enemies, if you hate the book) to buy their own copy.
As my friend at work Kory said when placing his order, “Hey, man, that collectible shit that makes money later, you never know.”
